This journal has been mainly about the actual steps we’ve taken to get to Israel. And there were a lot of steps.  Starting way back close to three years before we ever got here.  Now that we’ve been here for over a year and we’re a little more settled (we’re actually nowhere close to being settled, but you know what i mean 😀), the focus of some of the journal entries may change to be a bit more reflective.  And some of my reflections may engender some discussion.  To that end, I invite you to comment on the site (or email me privately) if you’d like to further discuss any of the issues raised.  And for those who would like to enter into a more rigorous discussion of topics related to Israel, Judaism, and America, I invite you to check out this online forum where I’ve posted several briefs in the hopes of generating discussion around various topics.  I will continue to post to this journal at the same frequency I have in the past with everything that we are doing here; while we have gone through the initial steps of becoming officially Israeli, our “journey” is far from over.  But after having gained a bit more of an international perspective I feel that in addition to simply telling our story, there are many issues which deserve a more in-depth treatment.  I hope some of you will share my interest in these subjects.
