We are leaving on Wednesday June 26, 7AM from Phoenix, connecting thru LAX and arriving at 12 noon on Thursday June 27 at Ben Gurion Airport. Seems a bit more real now. In other news, still looking for an apartment (we are working with a great real estate agent with whom we met when we were there last summer, and we might be closing in on something. more news to follow….)
As part of our flight package, we get three 50lb checked bags per person. So that’s 18 bags. I don’t know about you, but we don’t actually own 18 suitcases. So I’ve taken the liberty of ordering two different large duffel bags on amazon, which I will pack full, then weigh, then decide which one I’d like to buy approximately 10-11 more of.
Also spoke to a very nice and helpful woman from the Ra’anana Municipality office about getting the boys registered for school. Despite how convenient it is to do most of the work by email and text message, I have to admit there was something very nice and comforting about hearing a human voice on the other end of the line, especially one with that cool Israeli-accented english that we American’s all know and love.
