A little delay….

So it’s been a month since JAFI (Jewish Agency for Israel) supposedly submitted our Aliyah application to the Israeli Immigration Ministry (or wherever they submit it to), and I still haven’t heard anything.  So I emailed JAFI two days ago to see what was up.  This morning I received a standard form email from JAFI listing for us the MISSING documents we still need to submit for they can process our application.  The list consisted of a single item – THE DARN APOSTILLES WHICH IS SENT IN A MONTH AGO!!

Surprise, surprise – I sent them to Nefesh B’Nefesh to add to our file, but it seems they never made it to our JAFI application.  So the entire past month that I’ve been waiting to hear something from Israel, it appears our application was never even submitted.  Nice.

So I emailed JAFI the PDF of all six of our apostilles.  Hopefully that will be enough.

In other news, the house remodel is done (expect for all the random little punch-list items they messed up and need come back to fix…)  Now we need to have the realtor come over, take pictures, etc, and get the house listed for rent.

We’re also in the process of moving all our clothes back into our closets.  And in the process, thinning out all stuff we never wear.  Probably something we should have done long ago.  Today, for example, I got rid of 50 T-shirts.  And probably 30 button down shirts last week.  Should make packing for Israel a little easier…
