Told the other Jewish partner in my group
My senior partner and I met today with the one other Jewish partner in our group and told him about my plan to move to Israel. I would like to say he held it together pretty well. But basically he almost needed CPR. I’ve been in the group for 13 years, and aside from my senior partner, I’ve been here the longest. From a group dynamic perspective and from a workload distribution perspective, it may shake things up a bit when I leave.
I realize that and honestly feel bad about it. This is the only group I’ve ever been with. It took me straight out of fellowship, mentored me, and was the vehicle through which my career grew and flourished. My intent is in no way to harm this group. But neither can I not follow the path I feel is right for me and my family. Thankfully these guys understand that.
