Third family trip to Israel – Pilot Trip – 2

The other thing I did on the trip was look for work.  I interviewed at Carmel Hospital and B’nai Tzion Hospital in Haifa (both 20 min from Zichron Yaakov.  I interviewed at HaEmek Hospital in Afula (about 35min commute from Zichron Yaakov).  I interviewed with Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.  I  met a doctor from Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, close to both Ra’anana and Netanya.  And I interviewed at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, right next to Ra’anana.

And I was offered jobs (at least generally speaking, no actual contracts, no details yet), at B’nai Tzion, HaEmek, and Hadassah.

Yes, that’s right, I was offered jobs near both of the cities that we did not choose – Zichron Yaakov and Jerusalem.

What about Ra’anana?  The hospital closest to Ra’anana is Meir Medical Center.  They said that there will probably be an opening, but they can’t commit right now, and that I should check back around December.  Nice.

OK, so on the whole, it seems that there at least are jobs to be had.  And hopefully Meir Medical Center will come through.  If it doesn’t, I will have to consider other options.   Stay tuned.
