😊😐 Still remodelling the house….

Haven’t written in a while in part because my computer at home has been off line for the past month due to our ongoing home remodeling project.  But at least now we are making good progress, most of the downstairs flooring is down.  Need to finish that and then get the cabinets painted white.  As soon as its done, we will need to get the house listed, ideally for rent starting July 1st, assuming we leave mid June.

I was able to get all my diplomas officially translated into Hebrew, then sent of the entire package to the Health Ministry.  And about 10 days ago I actually received an email from them, all in Hebrew of course, stating that they’d received my documents and that I was only missing two documents.  So I gathered those two and mailed them in just this past week.  I also heard back from the Israeli Medical Society regarding my specialty certification in cardiology that I was only missing one document, which I promptly emailed them.  So now I’m just waiting on both and hopefully will hear soon.

I had emailed the hospital in Kfar Saba where I hope to find a job back in October to let them know that we had settled on Ra’anana for sure and that I was still interested in a job there. They were very nice and told me that the new cardiology department chair would be starting toward the end of December, and that I should contact them after that.

So… Hopefully by early next month (January) I will have heard back about my medical license and I can then email the hospital again about a job…

I also did get apostilles for all six of our birth certificates and emailed copies to Nefesh B Nefesh for them to add to my file.

And finally, I will contact Nefesh early next month also about formally submitting my application.  During our interview this past summer they had said that they would hold our application until after December since once its submitted and you are granted an entry visa by Israel, it’s only good for six months, and since we’re not planning on moving until June they didn’t want to submit too early and risk our visa expiring before we move.

After that, the next big thing I think will be in March, at “T minus three months” when we have to register the kids for school and start looking for an apartment.
